I need help choosing the right flooring, can HomeCall help?
You can either visit us in our Stevenage carpet or we are happy to bring our carpets to you – you can book our mobile carpet service for a home visit. We can come to your home and measure up the carpets and you can see all the samples you need in the comfort of your home.

 

Do HomeCall Carpets fit the carpet or flooring directly?
We work with carefully selected local carpet fitters and flooring specialists who ensure your flooring is fitted to highest standards.  That is why we make arrangements with you to pay the fitters directly.

 

I’m not sure how to maintain or care for my flooring, can HomeCall carpets help?
The HomeCall Carpets staff are on hand to give you any advice you need on caring for your carpets or floor coverings.

 

I can’t decide between different colours and styles. Can HomeCall Carpets help?
We will give you our honest opinion based on years of experience on what options would be based for you. Carpet selection is affected by room usage, room lighting, influenced by the surrounding decoration and furniture – and of course we recognise buying a carpet has to come within your budget too!

 

I need a home visit for my carpets, can HomeCall help?
We would be delighted! Simply call us on 0800 588 4028 to make a home visit appointment to see carpet samples and for us to take carpet measurements.

 

I need help measuring up for my carpet – can you help?
Simply call us on 0800 588 4028 to make a home visit appointment for us to take carpet measurements. That way you can be sure that the measurements are accurate and we will cost up the job to ensure minimum waste.

 

How long does my carpet guarantee last?
This depends on the carpet you have chosen. Please check with our sales staff at time of booking.

 

When I place an order, what happens next?
We take a 30% deposit from you at the time you place the order. If you have chosen one of our stock carpets – this may be available as soon as the next working day (subject to availability). Non-stock/special order items typically take 7 -10 working days. Timings may vary but you will be kept informed of your orders progress.

 

Will all my goods be delivered together?
Yes.

 

Do you have a room clearance service?
We do offer a room clearance service if required. The exact cost is subject to the quantity and nature of the items requiring removal and the location in question. We strongly recommend a pre-fitting site survey so an estimate can be given.

 

Do you do carpet fitting at the weekend?
Saturday morning appointments are available. We do not conduct fittings on Sundays.

 

Do you do evening fittings?
No we do not conduct fittings in the evenings due to the noise levels and possible disruption to your neighbours!

 

Can I chose a specific time for the fitter to come/do you do timed appointment slots?
Due to the unpredictable nature of fitting, we can only offer either am or pm appointments.

 

How long do carpet fitting appointments take?
This varies vastly on the size and nature of the job. Typically an average bedroom would take 1-2 hours; hall, stairs and landing can take 3-4 hours.

 

I live outside of your normal delivery area, can you still come and fit carpets for me?
Let us know where you are and we would be happy to discuss whether we can still help you. We do have clients outside our normal catchment area but additional delivery charges may apply.

On top of that, you can have optional extras if you choose including removal, trimming and refitting your doors if your new carpet and underlay is thicker than your previous one preventing your door from closing properly. If you like we will also package and uplift your existing flooring and we can take care of its disposal as well. If you'd like to book these additional services, please call 0800 588 4028 and we can discuss all of the details with you.
